Jacob heard Talsa's appology, and it was enough for him to hear the words of sorry, but he knew that it wouldn't be for Paul; no it wouldn't mean a thing to Paul and within a few seconds, he was proven right with that idea. "Paul," Jacob growled with a deep tone, looking to his Beta, and then looked up to Talsa's eyes, mouthing 'its okay' to him, hoping that Paul hadn't caught sight of Jacob's mouth silently moving. He began to wonder if it was Talsa's defending Jacob that made Paul so tense, or if he had picked up the sickly-sweet scene that Jacob could smell from the second he had met him. He guessed that it may have been the mixture of the two. One thing was for sure, Paul wouldn't forget what had happen today for a long time...
He leant a little closer to the tree, moving his foot just below his knee, shacking his head in fustration and looked down to the green grass before him, his eyes appearing closed to Paul and Talsa, though they were narrowly open. His body became tense and felt hotter than usual and the feeling only got heavier when Paul asked him if he could talk to him alone. He sighed deeply, though almost silently, rolling eyes that still apeared to be closed in front of the others.
He looked at Paul, walking off, and then to Talsa, mouthing stay here hoping this wasn't going to upset him. It wasn't really Talsa's fault, and he did think that Paul -of all the pack- would want answers, though Jacob wasn't sure if he had the correct answers for Paul...
"Alright, what?" Jacob said, sounding calm but tense as he had ever felt, and crossed his arms over his chest. Today was just getting better and better...

Chest puffed slightly, arms crossed over his chest, Paul waited silently for the alpha to meander his way over. It was evident that Jacob didn’t want to talk about this, but frankly Paul didn’t give a damn. He couldn’t just expect him, or the entire pack for that matter, to fall in line and accept his decision without allowing them any say. But judging from Jake’s expression, it seemed that was exactly what he he expected, and it made Paul’s insides tighten in rage. He bit back on his own anger, managing to push down the irritation, and suppress the tremors that threatened to shimmy up his spine. “Alright, what?” Jake asked; his tone just a little too relaxed and blasé.
That did it.
“What?” Paul repeated in disbelief, his dark eyes narrowing into menacing slits, “What do you mean what?” He was shaking then, his inner wolf wanting to bite and claw and fight. He kept it contained. “Don’t play dumb, Black. I’m not stupid. You know, as well as I do, that something ain’t right with that kid.” The question was, would Jacob fess up and tell him what it was, or would he go out of his way to protect some punk he didn’t even know? Whatever the case, Paul wasn’t about to let this go, not until he got to the bottom of it. “He smells like a bloodsucker,” he pointed out, “Who the hell is he? What is he? And where did he come from?”

Hearing Paul's tone, Jacob could tell that he wasn't impressed. How is it, that he can jump from calm to anger in a split second, with what I said? Jacob thought. He rolled his eyes in Paul's direction, remaining and appearing to be calm and cool, though feeling tense still, while he seen Paul shaking. "Sorry Paul. But when I said what I meant 'what was you're question?' " Jacob half snapped. " I'm sorry if I can't you the correct english term for you, but its been a long hard day!" he added. He was so not in-the-mood for one of Paul's attatudes! Jacob's tone should have been enough to tell him what he had meant, but Paul been Paul, it wasn't...
" I don't think you need me to tell you what he is, you know what he's scented, you have seen what he can do, what more do you want? I know he isn't right Paul, clearly. But it doesn't mean that you can not trust him like the others..." Jacob trailed off, knowing that he shouldn't have said that. Yeah, he couldn't exactly trust Talsa like the others, been half vampire, but it also didn't mean that he had to treat him like a beast. He should have through this through, before going ahead with making Talsa one of the pack.
Jacob sighed, not wanting to answer Paul's last question. He was sure that he would pick up on that. " Answer me this Paul, before I tell you... How much do you trust Renesmee and Sam?" he questioned him, hoping that the conversation wouldn't trail off to his own imprint.

True to Jacob form, he was on the defensive immediately; not that Paul expected anything less. Apart from himself, Jake had the second worst temper in the pack. An argument between the two of them could last all day; neither of them were ever willing to back down. Of course, Jake had the cheaty ability to make him back down, but he wasn’t going to worry about that right now. First and foremost he was going to get his point across, and that meant keeping his head relatively cool if he hoped to appeal to Jake’s logical side. Logical, Paul scoffed mentally at the word; he was talking to the guy who had abandoned his pack to protect a girl hell bent on becoming a vampire. Logical wasn’t exactly applicable, was it?
After his initial tirade, Paul yawned, rolling his eyes, “Are you done now?” he inquired. “I asked you a question.” The answer he got, was hardly the answer he was hoping for, but somehow he’d known he wasn’t going to like it, "I don't think you need me to tell you what he is, you know what his scent is, you have seen what he can do, what more do you want? I know he isn't right Paul, clearly. But it doesn't mean that you can not trust him like the others..." What? Was he out of his cotton-picking mind? If he was exactly what Paul thought he was, the last thing Paul was going to do was “trust him”. His lips curled, a growl shaking his voice box as he took a step back, his expression making his opinion clear: Jake was a few fries short of a Happy Meal.
The alpha sighed, " Answer me this Paul, before I tell you... How much do you trust Renesmee and Sam?" Paul sneered, shaking his head. It hadn’t been easy for him to accept Jake’s jailbait, vampire, imprint…and truth be told, he still refused to leave Rachel’s side whenever Renesmee was around, determined to be the blockade between her and the youngest Cullen if she ever happened to slip up. Because that was the fact of the matter; as careful as the Cullen’s were, they were still vampires, and humans were still their natural food source. There was nobody in the world he cared more about than Rachel; and any potential threat to her, wasn’t acceptable in his book.
Sam was another matter; as much as he’d fought what he’d become after his first shift, Sam had been there for him, had shown him the ropes, and guided him. He had a bond with the oldest member of the pack because they were the first, until Jared had finally come along. It was that respect that kept his feet planted at Jake’s question. “I trust one person, Jake. You’re looking at him.” His brows rose as he continued, “And personally, I think you’re being a little careless. I know you have a soft spot for these frickin’ leeches because of Ness, but you know what, the only person I care about is your sister and I’ll be damned if I’m letting anything stay on this rez that is in any way, shape, or form, a threat to her. So if that’s what you’re asking for, you might as well whip out your alpha choke chain right now; cause it ain’t happening.”

Hearing Paul's reply to Jacob's answer, only made him tenser, though still, Jacob didn't show anything apart from a low growl coming from him. Jacob always thought of himself as the strongest one of the pack, even before he had become the Alpha, though he thought it, he wasn't quiet sure if it was true or not. He tried his best to see both sides of the story, stay calm while he listening and tried to always think things through before acting on them, but Paul wasn't one that Jacob could see both sides to. It always appeared that Paul was always trying to piss Jacob off, though Jake wasn't sure if that was true or not, thats how it felt and for it, he would try even harder to show that what Paul said and did, didn't bother him. " You want to hear it staight out Paul? Fine! He's a werewolf, hybrid. Happy?!" Jacob demanded, though his voice was high, it was still calm.
Seeing the expression of Paul's face, saying that they could still trust Talsa like they trusted the others, clearly didn't go down well... He looked away from Paul and to the star lit sky and moon, showing that whatever Paul was going to do, say or think, wasn't going to affect him, his Beta was no threat to him. He had a stronger gift than him, and he was fast at using it too. Nothing around Jacob could trouch him, as long as he knew it was around.
Jacob shook his head, looking back down to Paul, rolling his eyes with what he had said about how much Paul trusted Sam and Renesmee. 'Typical...' Jacob thought, though he didn't think that Paul would come up with any other than the answer he had given. but at least he thought that he would have trusted Rachel, as he trusted him. "I don't have a soft spot for them... and you really think that I would let anything on our lands, that could hurt my family? Or Rensemee?" he ordered. " You got to be kidding me Paul! Come on, grow up! Like I would leave anyone on the rez that could hurt anyone. I don't trust anyone outside of these lands even then, I only trust who I already know and know well..." Again Jacob trailed off, knowing that he shouldn't have said what he had. Paul was getting the better of him.
Because Jacob trusted Sam, he also trusted Talsa and hoped to god that he wouldn't be proven wrong about the new pack member. "You don't know Talsa like I do okay, just leave him alone if you don't like it," Jacob's voice become a whisper as kept on speaking, he turned his back on Paul and started to head back towards where hopefully Talsa was still waiting, though he still thought that Paul wouldn't let him get away with things that easily...

Paul couldn’t stand here and listen to this anymore. The very suggestion that this creature was safe, that he was somehow suitable to welcome onto their land, into their pack, was laughable. He was like Renesmee as far as Paul was concerned, in need of constant supervision by one of them if he was to be allowed to loiter around. But it seemed Jacob had drank the leech lovers Kool-Aid. Someone was going to wind up hurt and while Paul might not be willing to gamble with the safety of the people of their tribe, it seemed Jacob was and he was the boss. Though he tried to convince him otherwise, his actions conveyed something different entirely.
“Like I would leave anyone on the rez that could hurt anyone,” those words echoed in his mind as Jacob finished speaking, “You already have, Jake. He’s got a temper, he’s undisciplined…and none of us exactly have time to sit around and play babysitter.” Jake interjected, "You don't know Talsa like I do okay, just leave him alone if you don't like it," and with that, the alpha stalked off, leaving Paul behind. Under normal circumstances he would have chased after him; he wasn’t accustomed to being ignored and when push came to shove, Paul had no issues shoving and shoving hard. However, he could see that old stubborn fire in Jake’s eyes and he knew that he’d get nowhere, at least for now.
“Fine,” Paul called after him, determined to at least get the last word in, “but when he goes all bloodsucker on the reservation, don’t come crawling to me for help hunting his ass down!” Turning in the opposite direction, he headed back toward home. He was late to see Rachel.

Jacob kept walking away from Paul. He wasn't worried what Paul thought, Jacob was the Alpha and he was the one who said what goes. He knew that it was a risk to have Talsa in the lands, but it was one that he was willing to handle.
Hearing what Paul was shouting out to him, made Jacob stop dead. He looked back, but then kept walking on. He was tense enough as it was and he wasn't going to go back and see Paul to only feel worse. The decision had been made and he was sticking to it! He walked slowly back towards Talsa.

talsa was leaning rather uncomfortably against the tree his arms folded across his chest his face scornful. he watched as the argument reach its peak. from what he could hear they where arguing over him and him being here.
to his surprise there was no hostility towards him or jacob. talsa guessed that this other angry wolf was of the pack he was briefly introduced to him before he skulked off with jacob. talsa was beginning to get agitated. just as he was about to call it and go wandering when he spotted jake causally start walking for him

Closing his eyes, while he walked slowly back to Talsa. Jacob stopped yet again and looked back to where Paul had been standing and then kept on walking back to Talsa. He smiled warmly to him, before walking pass him.
" Come on. Lets go," Jacob said, his back to Talsa. He wondered how much he had heard. He knew that Talsa had to have heard some of it. He hoped that soon, the day would be at an end.
