Bella needed some air and to be alone. After the past weekends events with Jacob and how things had come to a standstill, she just needed the extra moment or two to clear her head out. If Nessie could of seen what she had been up to with Jacob, surely this was one thing that would not only hurt her, but Edward as well.
That was what started it all. Edward. She missed Edward lately. She had to blame it on that. Something to blame other than admitting the truth. Even after all these years. Where was the husband she loved with all of her heart? She seemed to be alone more now, with Edward taking care of family problems and dealing with the Volturi issues that came up from time to time.
That needed breath of air led Bella to the falls in La Push. Most probably wouldn't know that she knew of this area. Maybe Nessie. had...this was a spot she came with her once or twice when she was a young child. How fast the time passed. Nessie. Her daughter, had grown so fast. She was absolutely beautiful and her own blood. Hers and the man she fell head over heels with- Edward.
Bella tried to be a good mother. She thought about this while she walked that quick pace that vampires did towards the top of the waterfalls. She could only hope that once up at the top, none would see her. She really wanted to be anti-social. She had brought her journal with her. Today would be the ideal day to write it in for sure.
When she got to the waterfall top, she found a dry rock to the left and lowered down to sit. With legs dropping over the edge of the rock, she brought the journal to rest in her lap and opened it up. Passing through page after page til she came to the last entry. With pen in hand, she tapped the page. What should she write? Where would she begin was more like it.

Slowly and calmly running, not far from the falls. Jacob couldn't help but think both of his girls. After what happened on the weekend with Bella and then just yesterday with Ness, he didn't know what to say or do. He loved both of them, but he knew who he loved the most and he didn't want to hurt Bella by telling her. He hated having to choose between them. He knew how Bella had felt now, back so many years ago. But they weren't the only two things on his mind, he couldn't stop thinking the feelings he had for Bella, it wasn't him to just forget Renesmee like he had, normally, he could never stop thinking of her, seeing her. He was confused and he was shaking with the frustration of it all. It wasn't fair to the either of them. He didn't know what to do or say to either of them.
"Stupid wolf," he muttered. He was sick of the wolf taking over him lately. He felt like he could disappear altogether again, the same feeling that he had when he was younger. It seemed to be the wolf inside was calling all the shots these days, tell him what it wanted and what was going to happen. He didnt feel like he had any choices anymore as the wolf always made them now for him.
He kicked a small rock on the edge of the falls, looking down to the deep water before him. He sighed again, another strong quiver ripping through him. He could feel himself getting too hot for human form and needed to calm down before he phased. The last thing he wanted was to give into the inner animal, yet again this week.
He sighed, trying to calm, but it wasn't helping. He took off his shirt, throwing it, and his shoes to the side and jumped into the water of the falls. He sat under the water falling from the mountain above, letting the water run over his back and shoulders, as he tried to only think of the sounds and feeling of the water running over him. He loved the coolness of the water running over his hot skin, he loved swimming for calming him down lately. It seemed to be one of the very few ways for him to calm down quickly now.

Nessie knew there is something wrong, but she was afraid to ask anyone. She couldn't stop thinking about it, she was worried but if she would ask nobody would tell her. That was one thing she was absolutely sure about. She sighed as she sat in her room and looked outside the window, wanted to think about anything else but she couldn't. She hated this feeling, it made her angry and sad at the same time. If Bella would just tell her..
Nessie knew that she was missing Edward, he was gone for too long now, she wished she could help her, but she couldn't and that made her even more sad and angry at herself. She hated it to see her mother in pain, that was hurting her too. She loved her too much just to let it go and let things sort out by itself. But what to do?
There was another thing.. Jake. The past few days have been like a dream for Nessie. She and Jake got very close to each other, and she loved being around him and he told her the same. But sometimes he let her feel like she wasn't good enough for him..
As she felt tears running down her cheek she got up went into the bathroom, maybe a shower would make her feel better? It was worth a try. Her clothes fell down onto the floor and she tossed them into the corner, she would sort them out later. The hot water on her skin made her feel a bit better. But she was still confused about it all. She wanted to remove them from her mind. She let her tears go, she couldn't stop them anymore, this was too much. After that she hoped she would feel better, and even if she would feel worse, she had to let them go.

Hoping that she could just enjoy the quiet afternoon alone, those thoughts had been cut off by something out of the corner of her eyes down below from where she sat on the rocky cliff waterfall overhang. She leaned carefully forward to take a better look of what she saw down below and realized it was Jacob. She immediately leaned back and stilled.
He was someone she was not expecting to see so soon after thier last encounter. She wasn't even sure what she would say to him after that evening, too. Her mind started to race. Did he see her up above up where she sat? Would he come up there and find her with her journal in hand? She gave a soft sigh out of her lips and looked down to the empty page of her journal.
Nessie came to mind right then. She was avoiding her daughter momentarily. She didn't even know what to do about that. She knew Nessies abilities as half vampire. This couldn't be a good thing if she found out what she had been doing with her boyfriend. Nor would it be great if Edward found out for that matter. Another sigh escaped. Eyes closed and she briefly wondered where Nessie was, being that she wasn't with Jacob.

Nessie got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around herself, went to the mirror and looked at herself. She knew that this was not what she needed, she still did not feel any better and she just wanted to forget. A walk? Maybe. She considered about calling some friends from school, but then still decided that she wants to be alone. She pulled her hair into a plait, and went into her room, opened the wardrobe and took a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt out. Quickly pulled it on and ran downstairs. As she saw that nobody was at home, she wondered, but left a note on the table in the kitchen "I'm out. Not sure when I'll be back. Nessie" and left. She ran as usual, to La Push. The falls were the best place for her to calm down. She was alone, but felt still safe, even at night because she knew that there is always one of the Wolves on patrol. As she arrived she sat down on a rock and looked at the sea. She took her phone out, considering to call her mother or Jake. But then decided not to, it wouldn't change a thing. Everybody is hiding something from her, and that was the moment when she wasn't worried anymore, she started to get angry. Really angry. She got up and kicked against the rock with her food, she knew she must look stupid but she didn't care about it. Suddenly she heard a noise, someone jumped into the water, the falls were loud, but her ears could hear that though. She wondered who, it was very cold to swim, so it could've been only one of the pack.

Jacob was enjoying the ice cold water falling on his back shoulders, letting his tense and tight muscles loosen with each droplet of water hit his hot skin. It was soothing and calming for both his mind and body. He sighed, stepping back into the water more, letting it run over his hair and face. He shook his head, stepping out of the water fall and diving under the water for a second before coming back up for air.
He rested back against the surface of the water, letting the small ripples hit his russet skin as he gazed up at the darkened by rain filled clouds. The wind shifted and two new scents entered the air. One a sweet, and an another rose and cinnamon. He knew both of the scents well. ‘Bella . . . Renesmee,” he thought, looking around. He couldn’t see either of them, but he knew that they both weren’t far away. He hadn’t expected to see Bella so soon. He kept looking around while he swam and then spotted Renesmee just down the hill from him, gazing at the horizon of the ocean. He could sense that there was something bothering her. He found a small rock and threw it down the hill towards her, wanting her to look back at him and tell him what was bothering her so much. “Hey,” he murmured, only just loud enough for her to hear him. He rested on his arm lying against the rocks around the falls, a slight smile lighting his face as he watched her. He wondered what had brought her to the falls, if she had been looking for him or not. He looked around some more, wondering where Bella was. He also wondered if she had said anything to Ness about their almost night together, and if that was why Ness was so upset.
He sighed deeply and quickly, pushing back against the water, towards the water fall again, but stayed only in the middle of the falls, so he could still hear anything Renesmee had to say to him, if she decided to come and see him. He couldn’t believe how he had acted with Bella, how she had made him feel like it was back before Renesmee was born. He hadn’t felt those feelings for Bella in over ten years. He thought that he still loved her how he used to, but it wasn’t true. His night with Renesmee had proven that wrong on so many levels. He still loved Bella, but he was in love with Renesmee and she was the only thing that mattered to him. He didn’t care for anything else in his life or in the world. He was just glad to have her in his life and if he didn’t have anything more, he wouldn’t care. She was the only thing that existed to him. Her and her love for him. It was what he faught and lived for!

Bella had enough of her little moment of solitude and moping. Being out in the falls and listening to the sounds of rushing water had eased her mind enough to think that it would be safe for her to return home and play that game of being normal and nothing being the matter. It was what she had to do right? Nessie would be so hurt if she had realized what was going on or had happened between her and Jacob.
Starting to push up to stand, Bella had been more worried about not losing her balance when she felt her journal fall from her lap and fall into the water. It all happened so quick that she couldnt even think of trying to grab it, for it was out of side over the ledge she had been sitting on. This left only one thing for her to do. She would have to climb down below and get it. Hoping it wouldn't wash down stream before she got ahold of it or someone else got it.
With that thought in her mind, she walked down along the steep rocky path that rounded its way beside the edge of the falls. It would take her a bit of time, but she would ultimately get down below and when she did, she hadn't even noticed the others being so close. She was more interested of trying to track down her journal that was floating further and further from her.
