Appearance: She is lean and slender, obviously of native descent if gauged by her naturally tanned skin and dark straight hair and dark colored eyes. She tans easily, and obviously spends a fair amount of time out of doors. She is not muscular, but has enough endurance to keep up with most of the young kids that she teaches, and spend time out of doors with the pack or Paul when she can manage. She tends to wear clothes that are more natural colors and comfortable, though she has a fondness for brightly colored scarves as neck kerchiefs or headbands.

Personality: She is friendly, and warm, and generally compassionate though she has a bit of a fretful nature that tends to show through especially when taking into account her family and friends. She can be seen as something of a worry wort, and tends to stress when she doesn’t know what’s going on with her loved ones, and every now and again her concern wells over to her students.

Loves: Family, cooking, friends, a good book and a glass of wine under a blanket.

Hates: Crimson-eyed vampires, when family fights, Paul’s refusal to settle down.

Favourites: Splurging and eating pizza, warm fires on a cold night, chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, the color brown.

Dreams: Ideally, Rachel would love to have a family of her own despite the inherent risks that come with a shifter as the potential father of her children. While once she might have had grander dreams about school or occupation, she came quickly to realize that what she really wanted was to be with all of her family and do whatever she could to take care of them and make them happy, and safe.

Nature: Mostly, Rachel just wishes the world could go on without the little bubble of a world they call the reservation. She doesn’t despise the Cullens so much, especially since they’ve given Jacob happiness, but the vampires outside of their little home town have done nothing but cause trouble and hurt those she cares apart – she wishes sometimes she could return the favor.

Past: The younger of the Black twins, she was always the quieter and milder mannered of the two. When Rebecca skipped town, it wasn’t entirely surprising, as much as she loved her sister, she knew that the older twin was never meant for small town life and after their mother’s accident, both of the twins felt ill at ease in their own home. Rachel went off to college for a few years, coming back for vacations and holidays, only to find, despite everything that she might have thought or wanted, that she would end up falling for one of the most asinine boys and the biggest player on the reservation… but by the time that they had worked through the initial trials and errors of their relationship and she came to learn the truth of what he was, she found herself unwilling to let him go. Unfortunately, it seems that he is not as willing to let go of all of his old life style mannerisms, and she has yet to convince him that getting married and starting a family was a good idea, a fact that she does not forget though she does try hard not to hold it entirely against him.
